This notice is provided under Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") to inform visitors of burakberksama.com and people who use its contact form.

What data do we process?
Through the contact form: your name, email address, subject (if given) and the content of your message. To prevent misuse of the form, your IP address and browser information at the time of submission are stored with the message.
When you visit the site: the session and security cookies required for the site to work securely (see below) and technical access logs kept by the server.
Visit statistics: to see which pages are read, a simple counter that uses no cookies runs on our own server. It records the address of the page viewed, the domain of the site you came from if any (e.g. google.com), the device type (mobile/desktop) and the time of the visit. To tell repeat visits apart within the same day, a one-way digest is derived from your IP address and browser information using a secret key that changes every day; your IP address and browser information themselves are not stored for this purpose and cannot be recovered from the digest. This data is not shared with third parties and is kept for at most 400 days.
Please do not share special categories of personal data, such as health information, in the form.

Your personal data is not used for marketing, not added to any mailing list and not sold.
To whom may it be transferred?
Your data is shared only with the service providers the site relies on, and only as far as their service requires: the hosting (server) provider and the email service provider. Otherwise it is not shared with third parties unless required by law.
How long is it kept?
Contact form messages are kept for a reasonable period after your request is concluded, and in any case for the periods required by applicable law, after which they are deleted. They are deleted sooner at your request.

Visit statistics are kept without cookies; no analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies are used, so no separate cookie consent is requested. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the contact form may then not work.
Your rights
Under article 11 of KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the recipients; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in KVKK; to object; and to claim compensation for damage.
